Babel

This piece depicts Babel. Each verse from the Genesis account of the tower has been calligraphed in a different language.

Babel
This project remains one of my favourite. The client requested I depict the tower of Babel in mediaeval style. I chose to write each line from the Genesis account in a different language and lettering style. The painting was done with gouache, acrylic and watercolour, and all the calligraphy was done by hand.
